Customer Reviews

16 month old approved!Got this 2-4 year old sleep sack for our 16 month old baby who is huge. He s probably about 27 lbs and 35ish inches tall and is wearing 24M/2T from Carters and Baby Gap with some wiggle room, for reference. The sizing is fine, with lots of leg room and length to grow. He can stand up in his crib still, which I appreciate. I keep the snaps at the armholes snapped (making the hole smaller) but I am guessing those will be unsnapped soon. The fabric is super heavy and sort of stiff in a good way. The zipper begins under the left arm and finishes at the feet when closed. I love that the zipper ends are covered with fabric too. This sleeping bag came in a really charming box. Perfect for gifting.5We LOVE Woolino sleep sacks!Love love love the Woolino sleep sacks. We had two in the smaller size and this is our third one now that little one has gotten too tall for the smaller size. Love that it is lightweight but still warm and that it has snaps on the shoulders which makes putting it on and taking it off so so so much easier. We will likely get another one in thi size to rotate in with this one because our little one occasionally wets through his diaper overnight.5the zipperI really wanted to love this sleep sack. My kiddo needs one because he kicks his covers off and sobs for me to come cover him back up, which I'm not interested in doing if I don't have to. He's 2 and been in a sack since he was newborn. I was reluctant to purchase this because of the price, but the reviews made it seem like a no-brainer. The reviews did warn of the zipper, but I didn't imagine it would be as cumbersome as I found it. I can't see how you can get your little so settle into snuggling while you're wrestingly with getting the snaps in place and realigning the zipper to awkwardly lean over the crib and get it zipped around. I'm returning it for the brand we retired that has a middle zip.2Worth while investmentI did quite a bit of research for this purchase. We live in New England and we like to keep the house cool in at night, as well as fall and spring. I was worrying that her PJs just weren t enough and she (~16 months but wears 2T) doesn t sleep still enough that a blanket would do any good. I looked at cheaper versions but ultimately wanted something that would hold up for potentially a year or two wearing every night (fairly tall order). This looked not too bulky but warm because of the multiple layers. I thought about the ones with the foot openings so she could walk around a little if needed before/ after bed time but worried if she wore footless PJs her feet would be cold. Was also worried that this one I purchased would cause her to get tangled and fall in her crib but she actually maneuvers quite nicely in it and can stand up pretty easily when needed. I ve also read reviews that this design also prevents their toddlers from trying to climb out of the crib. We don t have a problem with that but wanted to call it out as a plus if you have a mischievous toddler. Overall I m very happy with this sleep sack. We ve washed it on gentle cycle twice and laid flat to dry and it looks fine.5DisappointedI was very excited when I found this product. According to the description and most reviews, I would only need Woolino all through the year, which sounded great after having bought many sleeping sacks in the past 18 months, every time my son grew out of the size or he didn't seem comfortable temperature wise or the season changed. I had found it very difficult to find a perfectly comfortable sack because he always seemed to be either too hot or too cold. So having read the description of Woolino about how the material itself controls the temperature, investing $240 for 2 sacks seemed to be reasonable. However, it sadly didn't work as I expected... We live in LA where the temperature doesn't get drastically high or low, but he was too hot and sweaty in Woolino during the spring and the summer and I had to go back to our old HALO 100% cotton sleeping sack. Now it's the fall and he finally seems comfortable in Woolino. Our room temperature is usually 74-78f and I dress him in a long sleeve onesie when it's on the warmer side, and a long sleeve onesie + another long sleeve t-shirt when it's colder.I can't see Woolino would work during the winter although the temperature here rarely goes below 50f (our room temperature is usually 65-70f). He would be too cold in Woolino no matter how I dress him underneath it. I can still use them for the rest of the season and maybe at the end of the winter, but I'm not sure if it was worth $240...2Just can t love it like I wanted toThe fabric quality is excellent, but that s where the functionality stops for me. It s far too long for my 2 year old, making it heavy and cumbersome. My baby wakes up at night because he gets all twisted up in it. The worst part for me is how cumbersome it is to get it on my little one. It has 6 snaps around the top and in order to get your kid inside the sack, you first have to undo the entire zipper, separating the zipper sides. This means you then have to fiddle with the zipper to get the ends together and then zip up the ~2 ft. Zipper. Maybe this works for some... not with my crazy baby! He s way too wiggly for this to be a functional sleep sack. The zipidee zip is infinitely easier to get your baby in and out of. I just wish they made a warmer version. My little one is also used to having his arms and hands inside the sleep sack. He hasn t adjusted well to the freedom of this sack. It seemed like a good product in theory, but it just fails for me in nearly every regard.3Runs a little hotMy son is a little grumpy about this because it reminds him of his baby sleep sacks, which we'd stopped using. However, he kept kicking off his blankets so he'll just have to adjust to this solution. I will say, our son must run hot because dressing him in the suggested layers leaves him sweaty. 70 deg. F and up, and he just needs a short-sleeved shirt and a diaper under this sleeping bag.4Not warm enoughWhile the sleepsack is nice and the material was breathable, it did not keep my baby warm. I still had to layer on the clothes (4 layers and that's no exaggeration) and I still found him to be cold and even had to use a blanket. Which negates the whole purpose of the sleepsack. Our thermostat is at 68 so its not like we live in the artic! I can't keep a product that costs 120$ when it didn't deliver on the main selling point-keeping baby warm. Returning product.1Sleep starts at Woolino! After 2 years, worth the money. This is our 3rd Woolino. I have previously written at length about why I love this sleeping sack and why I think it is worth the money. With our first, we tried every sleepsack by all the brands. You name it, we had it. And each time I bought a new sleepsack, I would eye this on Amazon and think, "who on earth would spend a hundred dollars on a sleep sack!???" And here I am gloating about why it's worth every cent.We bought the toddler sized one after my second outgrew hers and we gave her big sister's. My 3.5 year old is 90% in height and about 45-50% in weight. The toddler size fits her perfectly with room to grow. She'll use I suspect for another year. She will not go to sleep without it. It keeps her warm in the winter, and cool in the summer. So we have one sleepsack 365 days a year which if you break the cost down, doesn't seem as ridiculous as paying $100 for a sleep bag.The weight, feel and comfort all add to how amazing this product really is.The only con I have is that with the toddler size, the snaps are annoying as they are not present in the 0-18 and 18-34M sizes.5Maybe it s to put it on like a shirtWe finally had to upgrade from the 0-2 and I didn t hesitate to buy another Woolino sleep sack. Although it s pricey our last one was used every night for over a year so I think its totally worth it! And I m hoping this big one will prevent our toddler from crawling out of the crib as long as possible. The only difference is the way the zipper works, for some reason on the 2-4 it starts at the bottom and I havent figured out why. Maybe it s to put it on like a shirt? Or maybe it s harder for them to take off?Either way, it s an awesome product that helps my son sleep in any weather!5
