Customer Reviews

Let me save you time and money on this so called "dish rag"...Although I read most reviews, I'm somehow flabbergasted by how terrible these dish rags are and would have given lesser stars if it were an option. Prior to and after washing (and now they're air drying in the garbage can), they are literally hard as bricks. They're defeated and destroyed by ONE wash on delicate setting. As you can see in the pictures, they're completely frayed on ALL FOUR corners which ruins the integrity of the dish cloth itself deeming them unusable. I absolutely do not recommend these dish rags unless you're just looking to waste money and have random strings strewn throughout your washer. 1I initiated a return/replacementFour out of five of these cloths have raveling, undone edges after the initial 'wash before use' wash. That is not acceptable. Sure, I could sew them up, but that is not why I bought new cloths...to FIX them before I USE them. Maybe...if they cost $1 a pack, but these cost considerably more than that ($2 EACH). Besides, if no one returns faulty merchandise, how can the vendor know the product is unsatisfactory?**edit**The shipment was replaced..and came with the same unsewn/poorly sewn edges as the first set. If the mfg. is going to bother with trying to sew the edges (as of course, they should), why not do a decent job of it?If you choose this item, you will need to hand stitch the failed edges if you want them last through a wash or two. 2Great for pots and pans!Exactly as pictured above.I purchased so dish cloths similar to these a couple of years ago at a local Wal-Mart and fell in love with them! They clean dishes very well, dry extremely quickly to reduce mold and mildew and wash extremely well. You do have to be careful when washing knives or there will slice the material - which I did to a pair of my dish cloths in the original purchase.Since my original purchase, I have been trying to find these at every Wal-Mart and Target I have entered over the past year with no success.Something told me to try Amazon... Bam! I ordered them, they arrived quickly and I am back in business! 5Quality sucks.Bought these for my mother-in-law who can't seem to find dish cloths with mesh on one side anymore. I read the reviews prior to ordering and most of the reviews were decent so I figured the bad reviews were nothing to worry about... boy was I wrong. The quality is very poor; right out of the package, the threads are coming undone and they will most certainly fall apart after a wash or two. The stitching on the edges is a single thread rather than a properly serged hem. I'd be embarrassed to give these to her and have them fall apart so I guess they will be getting returned. Don't waste your money. 1On my third set!I'm on my third set of these, but only because I wanted pretty clean ones. The others are still perfectly functional and are now relegated to the basement. We use these for our dishes - I like that they only get used for 1-3 days, then go in the washing machine to get clean. Sponges and brushes gross me out, and I hate the waste of paper towels. These are a great size, and are scrubby enough for all our messes. Sometimes I wish them came in darker colors to hide the stains they eventually get. They dry in a few hours. If you have found this review helpful, please give me a positive vote! 5Quality has gone way down hillI have had some dish cloths from the same Ritz brand for several years with zero issues. Just bought these to replace them, and they are already falling apart along the edges after the first wash (haven't even used them for dish washing yet). Quality seems to have gone way down hill. 1Great for dish-washingI had my old set for over 6 years - they were still serviceable, but so dingy they never looked clean even after bleaching These 2-sided COTTON-scrubber dish cloths seem sturdier than my old ones (of course those were very old!) I use mine to wash dishes, pots and pans as well as to clean the cutting board and kitchen counter tops. I don't have trouble with them getting smelly - but I suspect that has everything to do with the brand of dish washing detergent used as it completely stopped for me when I switched away from my old favorite. They're not right for drying dishes. They washed well - didn't put them in the dryer, so can't comment about shrinkage. Some of the most negative reviews here are actually about the MICROFIBER ones. I like these cotton ones and would most definitely buy them again. 5We cannot be happier with these towelsWe cannot be happier with these towels. For years I've been using paper towels to clean my kitchen counter. Finally, a friend gave me enough of a hard time to be more environmentally responsible that I decided to get some towels for cleaning. Since I have a few microfiber kitchen hand towels already, I decided to go with microfiber for its superior absorbency over cotton. These dish towels have exceeded my expectations in many ways. They are smaller than the hand towels so they are easy to handle for cleaning jobs. They clean extremely well, saving a lot of elbow grease for scrubbing. They are super absorbent, and they dry super fast. They also come out nicely in the washing machine. All in all, these towels are everything kitchen utilities should be: easy to use, effective, easy to care for. Love them. 5Constructed very poorly this time!I ordered these same dishcloths several years ago and am still using them, they were excellent quality. The order I just received would not pass for second rated cloths. The border stitching disintegrated and/or unraveled when I washed them before planning to use them. Also, the mesh on the scrub side of the cloth would be usable but the grid pattern is grossly uneven. I could not have been more pleased with my order several years ago, I'm not sure why they chose to send second to fourth rated merchandise this time. I will not order again and would not recommend these cloths unless you are simply wanting to purchase rags. Very disappointed in what should be a great product. 1These are awesome. I gave up my Dishwasher years ago and ...These are awesome. I gave up my Dishwasher years ago and have gone back to hand washing dishes. The detergents and chemicals needed to run the DW were just too much. (for the body, and the budget) Then came the studies of the biohazards associated with DW's--I was done with them. My dear husband took out the old dishwasher and offered to get me the new one of my choice, but really--I just don't want to mess with them any more. (and more keeping things in the DW till we have enough to run, or who loads/unloads, lower electric bill, lower water bill...) We took the space, and my husband put in some shelves--and now I can display more cooking items in my 1940's kitchen. --LOVE it. =) I hand wash dishes with detergent and VERY hot water. I use to buy sponges and greenies--but I save even more money by buying these kitchen dish-clothes. They are worth it. They are half cotton on one side and the poly-webbing on the other is a FANTASATIC scrubber. Enough to get any food off--but not so much that it scratches surfaces. Every night, I put the old dishcloth in with the laundry to clean and sterilze it, and in the morning I get a fresh dishcloth out of the drawer. Easy-Peasy. Thank you. =) 5
