    LOVELY set These are absolutely LOVELY. I love the brushed silver and the Tuscany design. Nice, heavy flatware for the price. I plan on using these for many years to come. Thanks, Oneida, for another fabulous set of flatware for my family! 5Tuscany SilverwareMy son bought me this set for Christmas and I liked them so much I ordered some more to add to it. They are just as nice as the first set until you look at them a bit closer. They are not as heavy and the handles are not as wide. They are inferior to the first set and that's why I only get them a four. I waited a while to get them and although I probably could have sent them back, I wanted to use them right away and decided that I would probably be the only one noticing. I still love the pattern and the beauty of the set, I was just a bit disappointed that they weren't quite up to the quality of the first set. Other than than, they are beautiful, I love them and use them everyday. Not sure if I would recommend to a friend though.4Decent weight in hand, interesting patternRealized very late that I didn't have enough place settings for a large party, so I bought a couple of sets of this flatware. I liked the idea of just getting the fork-knife-spoon combination instead of spending extra money on the salad fork and large spoon (which we rarely seem to use). Since these pieces are used just on occasion and not as our daily utensils, I was more concerned about the look and feel than other factors. I have been happy with Oneida's stainless flatware in the past, and overall feel the same here.Considering what I read in older reviews, I carefully inspected each utensil as I unwrapped it no issues with nicks or scratches. The weight makes each piece feel substantial, not flimsy, but still probably OK for smaller kids or the elderly to handle. I like the pattern, which is a little fancy without looking too floral or antique; it works for my modern table settings and also with some vintage china. I'm not 100% sure I am loving the very high polish, mirror like finish: I usually go for matte flatware, so this is probably just a preference thing.4Great Flatware Strikingly Pretty Perfectly UsableWe've only had this flatware a few days, but had it thru the dishwasher, hand washed it and purposely used every possible type piece, like the butter knife, and I must say: this is the coolest silverware (or do you say flatware?) me and my wife have ever had. Once in a while I make hasty and even stupid purchases, but sometimes I crush the competition and buy something like this great Flatware Set. This time I ate the bear. I ordered another set in May 2018 as our needs have changed, but disappointed to say that the quality has decreased quite a bit. The handles still seem to be sturdy but the bowl portions of the spoon is significantly thinner. Just to make sure I wasn't imagining it, I used a digital caliper on the spoon from this new set vs the old set, then attached a picture of the side by side comparison.2wrong description - NOT 18/10.....18/0The description states that these are 18/10. They are not. They are 18/0. That makes a huge difference. It is a pretty design. About 6 years ago I purchased this product from a well known store chain. They are still in great condition and I've never had a problem with them. I also love the design. They are 18/10 and have a nice weight to them. They are stamped nicely with the name. When I found these on Amazon, I was so happy. I ordered them right away. When I received the box, I was confused. There were visible differences. The tongs on the forks were different. All of them were much thinner than the older ones. The Oneida "stamp" looked uneven and cheap. On the old ones you can not feel a difference where the design is, with these, there are tiny bumps on all the parts that are darker. Obviously, in the past 6 years, Oneida has changed where they make this set. The box said these were made in China. They are just very cheap looking and I'm not going to even risk keeping them just because they have the same handle design of the other ones. I would hate to have a nice heavy knife in one hand and a weightless fork in the other. Returning tomorrow.1Better than reviews I've seenI read a few bad reviews on the Tuscany silverware, and I just want to write, to tell you this silverware, in my experience, has been great.I received it on time, it has survived many turns in the dishwasher, coming out lovely, and without the spots, I've seen so many people complain about. I have watched that they aren't standing in water, or otherwise mishandled, but I am not able to watch everything I do, or be overly careful, and the silverware is holding up very well.It is very pretty, a little bigger than average, but that isn't a big problem, something you get used to, and isn't a reason not to buy it. They fit fine in the drawer, and look beautiful, on the table. It is such a new design. They are also very easy to hold. I have had other sets, that are uncomfortable in your hand, and there's no problem with this set. I am even thinking of adding on in the future, and I would recommend this set in a heartbeat. Update: I have now had this set 5 years. I am now getting a few water marks that can probably be polished away. The set still looks nice, and is still in good shape, otherwise.4Excellent silverware! Classy looking, sturdy, and feels solid to use!Do yourself a favor and get this silverware set. A great unique pattern (not like all the other like-looking sets) and the pieces feel solid and quite sturdy. People will notice this set when you use it. And all the comments will be positive.5Came with scratchesI really wished I could have gave it a better review. The design is nice and it's good weight. This is the first time I've purchased silverware but I always assumed it should arrive without scratches. Mainly it was with the forks. And it's noticeable scratches. And it's with multiple forks. Like a lot of them. The rest looked ok. Maybe a slight scratch with a spoon or two but really it's the forks. Disappointing. Not worth sendin back but definitely disappointing.2
