    Good quality and useful for my applicationsVery nice and efficient tank adapter. The reason why I purchased this tank adapter is for the purpose of attaching a propane tank top heater to my 20 lb propane tank. Without the adapter, my heater was too close to the tank handle and I found it inconvenient for me to tighten the heater efficiently. Now with this universal adapter, I have sufficient clearance of my hand to tighten the fitting. 5Short and to the pointI have a 40Lb propane tank with the old style connector. Can t hook it up to my new grill. I needed a converter adaptor. I uase this tank for a heater inn my pole barn in the winter months, I also need the tank for my gas grill in the summertime. Each application takes its own connection, So this adaptor gets both jobs done. Almost all newer things use the big connection device that goes on the outside of the valve. THe older bottles have connections only inside the valve. 5perfect fitThis is a perfect fit. My dad had some of these old style propane tanks at his house full of gas. He doesn't use the grill anymore, so he brought them over and I found this adapter. It fit perfect with no need of any tools to install it. Saved me money on exchanging perfectly good tanks of propane because of a fitting. 5Good adapter for propane bottle adaptation !Was given a gas grill, and couldn't figure why it was always leaking. Come to find out the people were using the wrong type of bottle for it. So rather than paying the 25.00 deposit plus propane for a new bottle, the right type, I bought this adapter instead. Now I can use either type bottle and cook away. I did have to wrap the male end with teflon tape to get it to seal, but think the female end on the bottle was excessively worn. Good purchase, save me money. Well constructed. 4Turned an old worthless horizontal tank into a usable oneI replaced a horizontal tank in my RV a while back and ended up with a re-certified 25 year old one...that was full of gas. Problem was that none of my propane appliances had the old style male connectors. Found this adapter on Amazon and for less than a tank full of gas. However, when I tried screwing it into the valve, I couldn't get the threads to engage. I was pretty hot about having to return it but then it dawned on me that the threads inside the female valve were revered. Tried screwing the darn thing in the opposite way and "viola"- success. I will now not only be able to use the remaining gas in the old tank but since it's re-certified, I can use it for another 10 years...and those tanks ain't cheap. This adapter is a great money saver if you have an old style propane tank. Seems durable and well made. I'd recommend it. 5Perfect FitThe tank adapter I had been using, the gasket to keep tank from leaking gas was getting worn and starting to come loose. Not wanting to take any chance with this (possible fire or explosion) I checked at Amazon and found the exact propane adapter. Now do not have to worry about leak and the fit was perfect.
